A climate justice-informed supportive housing initiative aims to dismantle systemic barriers exacerbating housing and food insecurities among Black TGNCNB+ individuals in the South.
MISSION & VISION
Mission:
To address the urgent housing challenges faced by Black TGNCNB+ individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward County.
Vision:
To create a supportive housing environment that rejects oppressive criteria such as high credit scores, past evictions, and felony backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to safe and affirming housing for Black TGNCNB+ individuals.
PROGRAM
Tenant union: Developing supportive housing complexes and advocating for the specific needs of predominantly Black TGNCNB+ person, including those grappling with chronic illness, food insecurity, education barriers, and housing disparities. Through our initiatives, we strive to uphold the rights of Black transgender and Nonbinary individuals by challenging discriminatory housing practices and empowering marginalized community to foster greater inclusivity within the housing sector through a lens of Climate & Gender Justice.
